The Brussels Commissioner for Europe and International Organisations (CEIO) initiated the “Study of security in the European quarter”. On one hand, its aim is to objectify threats in public areas of the European quarter and on the other, to create guidelines for integrating security measures while maintaining a convivial urban environment. Perspective.brussels, the regional planning agency, entrusted this study to a team of experts in security and city planning who then consulted the various parties involved.
In the framework of this work, a “support guide for the design of public space” has also been drafted.
